“Alternative Anatomy” explored how people think about their bodies in terms of health and illness, injury and disability, beauty and body image. To investigate this idea, we wrote, collaged, and collected stories from people in the community. Two final works are the result: a small-press magazine containing interviews, artwork and essays; and a series of photographs and “wearable” drawings translated from sensations we can feel but can’t usually see.
